Precision, paper magic and pencil power:
graphite art There is nothing like a pencil for delivering the subtlest of nuances and the finest detail in any image, all the more if the image happens to be of a living being. Hence, it is by far my favoured tool for bringing to life unique pieces of art, purposely created to reach out and reflect loud and clear that intimate, rock-solid bond between people and their pets. |
Animal Portraits by Gabriel In this day and age, where taking simple photographs is so easy for everyone, a hand-drawn picture of the animal that you love is quite special. It is elegant and refined and, most of all, absolutely unique. Whether it be cat or dog, horse, dragon or budgie, you can book and commission his/her portrait with ease following the indications provided here below: - choose a good quality photograph of your pet - UPLOAD IT HERE: Pet Portrait Commission Form - include his/her exact name spelled in capitals along with your own name and address - you will receive a reply email stating whether the photo is good enough to work with and the amount of time to wait in the commissions queue You can then decide to proceed with booking your pet's place in the queue. Do keep in mind that each portrait requires time and attention. Cocker Spaniel's eye detail graphite on paper - June 2015 |
To officially book your pet in the queue, a third of the final fee is required. The total cost of one portrait is 150,00 euros (which for European countries includes shipping costs and delivery by courier), hence the booking fee is 50,00 euros per portrait. The booking fee is non-refundable and the completion of the cost shall be sent at the latest 4 working days after viewing the emailed, umprintable image of the completed portrait. This is to ensure that the commissioner is entirely satisfied with the purchase. Should this not be, for any reason, the artist shall keep the work done and is entitled to sell it or do with the work as he wishes at any time, prior removal of the name of the animal, if indicated in any way, and after the above mentioned 4 working days. |
All portraits are hand-drawn by the artist onto white paper size A4, signed, certified original and numerically validated.
The artist holds all digital rights over all portraits for exhibiting the artwork and delivering any relevant future prints.
